body positioned last night.

mounting today taking a little more time than i had though. 

2 mounts missing from frame, see where they were cut and ground off, and two other mounts i had to move for the fiberglass reinforcement.

8 mounts done, 2 mounts to weld on, and throw the front clip on should look like a jeep!

i can't even begin to tell you how long they have been on my shelf
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

body mount kit pretty close just had to large spacers for 2 spots and make holes in 4 frame mouts larger, and new longer bolts of course. 

windsheild frame is fiberglass too.  javent decided if it will get painted. the grey it is actually is in good shape.

FYI - 'glass windshield frames really flex in the wind. It's pretty scary. Cage bracket highly recommended.

hard top will do for now.  in the summer it might get a real cage if i keep it.  just the factory bar going in for now.

entire body positioned and locked down today.

This model for about $180 including tax. Would need some time though. We get factory loads about once a month

have to decided on tires.  probably after new year.  need to get some cash flow from customer work next week

new trans mount installed
new tail lights and front side markers installed
new radiator
new hoses
new Tstat housing and stat
2 new belts for alt and PS
new Alt installed
PS hoses hooked up


pretty close to firing motor soon

full welded new exhaust installed amd hung
new plugs-  #5 was so stuck- smaller size socket pounded on and dewalt ate to remove- success but could have been end of power train. 
side mirrors mounted
column mounted
oil and filter change

column shaft pulled- needs rebuild and a bit longer from body lift and position.  bah.

new column shaft found on ebay for 40$! 
Hei distributor ordered also


battery cables and wheel/tire combo should be all thats left.
