New to me 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71
5.3l
22k miles
All star package
Soft tonneau cover
Z71 off road package
Side steps
Towing package
locking rear diff

Not sure what gear ratio it is

Looking to add a lifetime bar and headlights..   Currently shopping trailers for after academy to move and transpo jeep

No all z71 offroad packages have them per chevy I guess eaton g80 locking diff

G80 = gov lock = limited slip if I recall right. Electronic locker would've something else.

Owners manual says eaton g80 E locker..  Not sure

Its a locker. Not a limited slip.  I have one in my sierra. 

Its complicated to explain, so google how it works.  Basically when g80 notices a big difference of speed, it becomes a locker otherwise it is an open diff.
