right?  and the RAM MAX tow seems like its a good option, and i wouldnt be out of my weight class for warranty issues

cant see how RAM says 17k vs 29k trailer from a gear change and trans flash.  wonder if its bigger coolers / ect 

but does that mean it gets 4mpg?  lol

it did say something about additional cooling package for Max Tow.

the tow ratings are all about 26k vs over.

IMHO the cooling system isn’t a huge limiting factor. G56’s gears can’t handle the load as well as autos can like the Aisin.

It would’ve be nice if they do offer one of 4.10/4.30/4.44 ratios in the max tow package for better empty/light load highway cruising mpg. Tow heavy in 5th instead of 6th.

Valid point on the ecu on auto trans via reduce power output and release the TCC for split of a second when shifting. It’s actually mostly to avoid harshness

I kinda disagree on ‘cushion’, torque converter locks and no fluid-coupling in 2-6th gears.

TC locked shifting? I'm not aisin-familiar but that's a huge surprise if so. It's at the point of engagement that it matters.

so am i dumb in thinking ill have same or better milage with lower RPMs and better power with 100ftlbs of torgue and a smart auto? 


I am thinking a 4.88 auto truck is going to be an improvement, maybe if its more than enough power change, swap to 245 tires as a back up since my trailer needs new 225s anyway?

gave car max a shot since all the reviews online were good. 

Had a nice chat with a woman, too bad she wasn't single and 10 years younger.  About the most i have talked to someone in years

called before to check if they would even appraise it

too bad they were $15k shy on the number needed.
