that would be great, thanks.  I should have remembered sooner and could have helped you rig swap.

Didn’t fix itself. Reasonable suspicion that I have no spark, i think I’m catching a smell of fuel in the exhaust. Car clean, taking a moment and then pursuing with dry clothes. And especially shoes. Dry shoes.

Blown ecu fuse.

Shameful.

No idea what caused it to blow. Was fine running for 20m after fuse replacement.

Lots of fans to fix (all 3 of them), broken stub shaft, and my favorite link bushing shot again. Along with a few other minor issues.

Know what’s really hot? A wire that’s melted it’s insulation due to overload/undersize. Maybe don’t unplug by grabbing with bare fingers while under load.

Fucking dumbass.

anyone want to help my laziness and pick out a torque converter I can just click a button on and have show up? Summit filters by stall speeds but the specs are not laid out at all once filtered and I click through on many of them. I was thinking something speced at 3200-3600. Hayes Twister, Boss Hog, Allstreet, and Summit brands all come up, from $200-$370, and only 2 of them bother to list a stall speed after clicking through.

I got annoyed and abandoned that set of tabs earlier this week.

I wonder if my year this year will be closer to smike's last – I'm not excited to race prep at all. I think I need a 1.5 car shop with a max jack...

i went with a remanufactured TC at 2600-2800 and I thought it was good for the cam motor.  i dont feel it or hate it with the stock 5.3 back in.

yours is old school right and not an LS converter, you have the 10mm spacer kit on your flex plate to the old style TH350 still?

Looking to make the center stack and tcase mounts removable. Otherwise tcase can’t come out without trans removal, and this will make trans removal much easier too.

What I consider the right way to do it is crazy expensive since I’ve got to break 8 tubes.

Time to booty fab, I guess.

i bet those things are great for aesthetic tubes that will never move.  in a car that is beat on and constantly moving, there is no way that something like that will work in more than 2 dimensions with out a porta ram for assembly....

Not wrong. Multiple planes of tubes going on there too. I’ve got a plan. Plates cut. First tube cut and it didn’t spring at all. I’m _shocked_

Lunch break.
