Rear Dakota shaft fits the front of 571. Flex tested, larger tube size clears lower link by about 1/4" at right full stuff.

Need to turn down the register on the flange: diameter mismatch.

All parts pulled.

Existing shaft ready for a fresh slip too. CV is perfect.

Pulled the carrier bearing for preventative replacement too. I think it'll get the steel over strap treatment in case of failure if the bolt holes are agreeable and I can get the other set of bolts out to put in longer units to support that. May be a challenge.

Any off the shelf local replacement y'all can think of, or am I going to be overnighting a bearing to make the picnic?

Similar if not exact. You ever find something that's sealed?

if its 2" they are standard sizes just difference in castings for strenght and materials

the tricky part is if the bearing has been bored out or is your shaft ground down.  the 2" DOM is always on the big side 2.015" or so

i can grab a bearing and bring it tonight if it will help.  Matt or I should have one.

I need to visit your lathe to turn down the register on the flange anyway.

all parts are in the 1.8t trunk.

I also may have that funeral activity this weekend instead of the picnic. I guess he stopped drinking yesterday. Kim headed up this morning.

I'll see if I can find the exact right bearing for your stock smike unless you'd rather cash or another model. Thank you very much!

All assembled and back in the trailer before the rain.

Is there a DOT bias? No stickies in 4800. I think dot bias is what Karl just got.

The part number is MXXTL30025300

They are a bit more expensive

only retail price a quick search showed me was 525. far cry from my best price 309 for Toyo, but I bet all that extra tread on the sidewalls helps those damn sidewall flats (that are NOT pinches lately) and that would pay for itself pretty quickly when I'm buying a tire per race.

Price from trans is about $450 per tire. Plus shipping.

Radials are about $300 plus shipping

What killing your tires? Up the psi to help sidewall to live?

lower pressure may help: it's not a pinch. I run innerairlocks and that essentially eliminated the pinch flats, but I'm still getting small slices sometimes.
