We housed that in like 8 hours.

Not bad for the level of work involved - would have been a lot nicer to start it at noon than the way it worked out.
God, I can't wait for things to dry out. Fuck this rain!

Bled the brakes and after doing the front, pedal is great. I don't think I changed the oil yet this season (don't remember if I maybe did it at m4?) otherwise it's ready! Slight drop from trans pan gasket.

This is what the leaking lube locker looked like. Cracked the cover again, too. Ignoring since there's no wet spot. Rtv'd interior surface.

Definitely have some gear wear from the tight setup. More metal in the oil than expected. Pattern looks good and no cracking noticed. Didn't recheck backlash while it was open.

I didn't look but I'm certain that's not from the crack. Probably got oil on the rtv while I was shuffling the cover on with the coordination of a drunken pos

Loaded in the trailer to work on in the rain after a nap. Power steering pump, radio install, rear suckdown fix is the short list.

Fully last minute.

I'll be gathering tools, mounting a spare tire and who knows what else post-arrival.
Hopefully I won't be changing any tires on the way down since it'll be a hand change.

We'll compare notes tomorrow, if I make it, and if I don't sleep it into a ditch.

might be done at work in under an hour, maybe...

taken out of the race in lap 4 due to an electrical issue. changed a flat tire an couldn't refire when it stalled turning around to reenter the course. about to attempt dragging it out of the trailer to wash, then investigate.

Flat doesn't look bad at all, probably just bad enough to deserves a vulc. Maybe 2" gouge, dead center of sidewall.

I put the battery on 40a charge for 15-20m while I hooked it back up and took a phone call. I don't remember if I left the ignition on or not during that time. Voltmeter read ~11.5. Flipped the charger to 'start' and the circuit appeared to go open, load on the charger went away. I was hooked to the battery directly. Car power was still present.

Strong crank & fired immediately. Shut it off and refired no problem.

Sprayed probably 500 gallons of water at it - cleanest I've made it in a LONG time, and freed up the fan I found dead. Fans then spun strong. I shut them off and started it twice.

What the fuck?

White I was considering the fucks it could possibly be, the serpentine belt started to fail. The chipped PS pump pulley finally took its toll. Would not have been enough run time to get me another lap, and I did not have a belt on the car.

I'm thinking I have a large resistance that the big charger was able to bridge, and I'm not sure where I'm going to find it.
Initial plan I suppose will be to physically touch everything and look for anything that's loose. Now that it's "fixed" I feel like I'm a bit screwed since voltage drops won't show.

It's certainly not in shape to trust right now...
