I was going to pick up another fuse tap and forgot. Damn.

Too much load?

Starter trigger 2a?
Horn ??
2x pumper ~7a
3x cig lighter 10a
Winch trigger .5?

Sounds like a 20a might be on the edge depending on horn load.  maybe there's another something laying around for cig lighter source...

no spacer. Two tight lug nuts. Interesting.

5" backspacing no problem.

Pinion and nut WELL tested for thread and tensile strength.

This, with everything I've got plus a bit.

14b really wants a press. Which I don't have. 4.10 pinion junked from hammer impatience.  Put a serious hurting on my brass hammer that I use as a drift for install too. I even pour the bearings in the oven at 350 first.

Yoke is also slightly cracked at ubolt hole. Pre existing. Probably from pre-pinion guard days?

14 bolt crush trick.... mount it in the diff, put pipe wrench on yoke held by suspension link.  use gravity and pipe on socket on pinion nut and stand on it pushing down on driver side.

Thinking safety a lot since this trip and the fires.

I think when I replace the electrical kill, I'm going to remote mount it closer to the battery with a cable actuator. Disappointed that my 500a fuse had issues. Probably ebay quality/ rating issue there.

That also makes me think monster trucks and their cable-actuated mechanical fuel shut offs as well. Could something like that save the car in a case like the aussies'? I think maybe in some cases - and it's a sight cheaper than a "halon" system. I don't think any of us have engine compartments enclosed enough for any of those systems to matter. Better to aim it on yourself...

I'm thinking something that could gang all 3 fuel shutoffs together and actuate them from the dash with a cable... Probably take a lot of leverage & travel.
