2500lbs netted 250$.  failed on brake check.  had to chain it to one of their claw machines and drive away.  no operators on site on Saturday.  the ticket guy fully approved lol

engine prepped and exhaust bolts extracted / replaced with new hardware.  holes plugged.  cats removal started.  need another parts list but should be ready to start fitting the cab next week.

opps! almost had a serous problem.

couple days ago i dumped in a gallon of straight coolant, moved to other side of barn and next day dumped in a gallon of straight water over the top of it. but didn't start it....

today as i cold started my tractor- it dawned on me- upper rad hose was solid and rad had slush in it under the cap lol

pulled out side and started it up and let it mix and pressurize.  think i caught it in time and all is well.

wheels are extra ugly on this one

not sure ROI worth tracking down a 4-800$ set to swap on

take tires off, wirewheel it, rattlecan black, put tires on - call it done.    As you've said in the past, buyers would want to put their own taste of wheels on it.

Grey for sure, goes with the trucks looks. if the cab was mint paint I'd say gloss black

Dark gray would look good.

Anything that is light colored would show the rust pitting more.

brought over the new lathe with this unit.  might have been too much weight for it, rubbed a bit on the heavy side to one of the flat bed cross bars, was fine meh

new lathe looks same over all length, but 4' usable bed length instead of 6' usable bed because everything is much larger on both ends.  stout unit, two 5 gallon buckets of tooling Nick didnt want either.

tried installing a fuel gage on this guy-

sourced 2nd amazon gauge thats correct range, but still unsure if direction is correct.   (high resistance is full or Empty)

lots of confusion today after installed, reads just over empty once powered.  i had figured it was closer to 3/4 since i measured 220ohms at under hood connector.  my research shows this year should be 50-250ohms empty to full

pulled a flatbed board and measured resistance right at sender to be 118ohm.  bah

traced entire chassis wire loom, eliminated tank pressure ground splice and all other BS wires,l confirmed no issues tank plug to gauge.

plugged in to gage it reads 50 ohms mid harness

rambling and confused, i guess ill go pump 100$ and see what happens, bah/
