love seeing parts I move get used :)
-
have been very slow to document this build..
uploading a lot of pics now...
stocking up on parts for assembly assuming more "stay at home time" is in my future...
-
Make a long story short and show in pictures...
Frame was blasted, some damaged spots repaired by smike
Bulkhead also blasted and new panels put in.. amazing that I have tolerance for sheet metal welding.
I spend the better part of the first few weeks/month of quarantine (March-April 2020)stripping, cleaning, welding and getting parts ready for blasting and dipping..
Took a trip to Buffalo right around the beginning of May to have everything dipped (well everything at the time)
Convinced my wife it was a good socially distance activity to take the kids.. this was at the height of CRAZY...
Galvy process went well, no major warping, just some damage on the bulkhead from the idiot who strapped it down on the trailer ::)
Frontier called and let me know they weren't happy with the result of the first dip, so they dipped again..
got some very good cavity coating that doesn't normally occur.. Very, very pleased with the results..
More to come...

I know this hasn't been updated in well, forever..
and if you have seen it on Instagram its moving along fairly well minus my engine fuck up.
I wish I had put all my thoughts together in one post for a build thread...
I normally document these builds very very well, just something about more time in front of a screen the last 18 months isn’t very appealing..
I’ll prob get around to it when it moves under it own power.. need to hit a milestone where it makes some real noise...
its gona be real purdy

whats your IG handle so I can keep track of your builds there. I always enjoy it because it's so different than the typical GM/Jeep that I follow.
-

can't wait to see it for reals. swing by when you pick up that engine!

A few pictures here and there..
I think I’ll get some motivation back when I can get back to a complete drivetrain..
Body assembly is meticulous, finicky, and rewarding. But I want to hear noises..
