Title: GPX files
Post by: Ryan on August 19, 2017, 10:02:15 AM
I have some gpx files for Sand Hollow and some of the BLM roads out this way. I use BackCountry Navigator on my phone to track. I was thinking of getting a cheapish tablet to run it on so I can see a little better.

Anyone using a tablet? iPad with Leadnav?

St George to Mesquite NV

This takes 5 hours to run 1 way. It is a very scenic drive. One one my favorites we have done.

I will be ipading with leadnav.

I test drove it on my phone at the Mint after hearing about it there and I'm sold. I still feel strongly that the Lawrence are complete trash on a good day, even as I learn how to use them.

I hear LeadNav is replacing many Lowrance units in race cars now.

I do not Apple so Backcountry is the next best thing, from the research I have seen.

From Leadnav, seems all you have to do is open them to get them into leadnav...

GPX files can be simply imported by clicking on them and choosing to "open in" LEADNAV. This can be done through Safari, Email, DropBox or they can be Airdropped back and fourth between devices.

You can also hook your device up to a computer running iTunes and just simply drag them into the apps Document folder.

Please take the time to view the Quick Guide as page 10 covers this

Also the first minute in video 1

If need be converting GPX, KML, KMZ, USR back in fourth is covered right here on the forum
