worth some investigation  battery lasts 12-18months, pairs with free phone app.  one time fee no service fee for usage.  race cars, trailers, pets ect

looks like it uses GPS location provided by other users of the app within bluetooth / wifi range- that seems unreliable in early stages

still a very cool idea
