where can i buy a disconnect switch that wont melt?  all my failures have been when cranking the starter motor, not winching.....

the 500amp 5 finger discount name brand one lasted a while longer that HF ones, but still failed.

try this:

punchlist items:

rollbar padding on tubes around the footwell/dash/center console area, possibly elbow area too.

I talked to a few monster drivers about HNRs, most really like the Rage Hybrid, dislke the R3, and don't like that the Hahns depends on the belts....

Those knuckles we're damn sexy. I assume they'll hold up much much better. not to say that your custom ones did not hold up just as well especially for the price you paid to make those

You got everything ready to go?
I'm still hoping I can make it down for the race at least to pit... even if I don't have a jeep 2 wheel

my god i hate new tires.  the KRT has beat me.  i simply cannot mount a new tire.  cant get the bead to seat, and i think i was near just letting the tire just burn and sit with a beer in a chair.

tried 3 guys with air, straps, propane, starting fluid, hp nitrogen, hammers buckets, nothing.

FML.

After the horror stories I've seen, I'll never use anything flammable or let anyone for tires. You can very easily burn holes right through the inner liner or worse. Not saying it doesn't work well a lot of times, but the chance of the tire coming apart is high.

added yearly quart of gear oil to 205 and welded 3/8" rod to the mounting bolts to lock them in as we have threatened for 2 years to do all 4 finer loose 1/2".  Fixed trail hack on rear fan wiring and swapped to HI speed, added safety padding to leg and arm bitters, fluid spatter protection from coolant plumbing improved, changed out bad bladders, fixed leaky 02 bung.

sat in helmet and new hans making vroom vroom noises!

thought randomly occurred to me, so I checked...

autometer has at least a dozen full sweep voltage gauges.
they also have 60a ammeters, and one could be run with that small an alternator - but I'd be looking to upgrade the alt if it ever fails so I wouldn't go with that.

wow, the housing bolts and all 5 of the electrical connection bolts were all loose on the actual starter motor.  the starter mounting bolts were actually tight.  Tightened all and re shimmed starter. good to go.

bet the lose connections didn't help low voltage do magic. glad it was an easy fix.

fluids didn't happen.
