-
Maybe one like Gifs?

cant find any specs on that, boo.
-
the 1000a spec isn't what you're looking for?
-
1000 amps momentary, surge (5s), cranking (60s), continous?
they mine as while left it blank.....
-
when I see only one spec listed I ASSume it to be a continuous rating
-
check standard motor products..
-
punchlist items:
rollbar padding on tubes around the footwell/dash/center console area, possibly elbow area too.
I talked to a few monster drivers about HNRs, most really like the Rage Hybrid, dislke the R3, and don't like that the Hahns depends on the belts....

Nice half circle stuff.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/KIR-99011/
that looks like it would mate fine to make a full circle for that center post, didn't find any full circle SFI stuff that was centered, not offset.

what's the seat back angle? 20Ëš-ish?

http://www.safedrives.com/products.asp?cat=82
-
ya i would go the max angle.... you have to get the helmet dring kit too right and bolt stuff to your helment?
-
yup, $25 for the helmet d ring kit.
-
im placeing a summit order now...
center post? whahuh?
-
the one between our feet that I've realized would probably break our ankles in a good flopping like a ragdoll high speed tumble.
-
o gotcha. both my feet are pinned on the gas and brake always.
i still think i have a ton of roles for goggles.
-
i think im going to order a HANS also.
i dont understand the details but they are are in still ill look more tonight.
-
I don't need rolls, mine jammed with mud or misfeed and the ratchet stripped.
-
o ok, just list anything else we should look at getting, ill get the order together tonight.
-
not that I can think of...
-
lots o money to summit.... horah
-
I did the same thing last night. UPS says some of it will be here tomorrow, gotta love Summit.
-
Your new springs will be here today.
-
new springs and coils in hand.
there is a summit box also in the truck.
front parts should be here with arie tomorrow.
id like to get the front end done this weekend, and then start looking at shocks and such. Still havent decided if the new 2.5's will be on for the first race.
Also have the wheel situation that blows.

figured you would be busy tonight with the lift anyway..
-
i should probably get two cases of ATF also. used the shops stock and some of the trailers to fill the lift up last night!

Those knuckles we're damn sexy. I assume they'll hold up much much better. not to say that your custom ones did not hold up just as well especially for the price you paid to make those
You got everything ready to go?
I'm still hoping I can make it down for the race at least to pit... even if I don't have a jeep 2 wheel
-
still have quite a bit to do

my god i hate new tires. the KRT has beat me. i simply cannot mount a new tire. cant get the bead to seat, and i think i was near just letting the tire just burn and sit with a beer in a chair.
tried 3 guys with air, straps, propane, starting fluid, hp nitrogen, hammers buckets, nothing.
FML.

the pirate says grinding the shit out of solid knuckles is normal.
-
not cool
-
...the KRT has beat me.
Nothing beats M4! You'll get it figured out!
-
After the horror stories I've seen, I'll never use anything flammable or let anyone for tires. You can very easily burn holes right through the inner liner or worse. Not saying it doesn't work well a lot of times, but the chance of the tire coming apart is high.
-
It was a last resort thing at m4 last night.I did offer too let him being it to the shop next door to me to use the air cannon
-
I gave a kid at kost 20$ and its done
-
My big black tire guy could of done it!
-

What grinding??
-
To make calipers, brake hoses, and yikes fit, at all.....
-
Yokes*
Full fluid change on this guy done today on the lift. That was nice.
-
I was going to do that but my diff drains are no longer useable
-
man race prepping on a lift is SOOOOO much easier
-
added yearly quart of gear oil to 205 and welded 3/8" rod to the mounting bolts to lock them in as we have threatened for 2 years to do all 4 finer loose 1/2". Fixed trail hack on rear fan wiring and swapped to HI speed, added safety padding to leg and arm bitters, fluid spatter protection from coolant plumbing improved, changed out bad bladders, fixed leaky 02 bung.
sat in helmet and new hans making vroom vroom noises!

not a bad list...
-
i think tonight will be throttle linkage and maybe a front skid that i have been eyeing up.
loathing changing out some from bushings.
Also skimped and didnt pick up inner axle seals yet, driver side really needs it on the front....
-
really wish i had gotten wheels. Last years tires are bald ass
-
load shit up and take it all to Tom's tire machine? or Kost?
you put the front together and it's got to all be torn down again to do seals or will that be "easy"?
-
had to drive it over to the lift and i wanted to test brakes and such so it got driven a bit and then parked in the lift bay.
im not putting new tires on shit beat H2's, which 3 have slime in them now also.
-
Matt at solid says tough tatas try a different caliper or a different brake line that is less obtrusive
shitty
-
in pretty good shape over all though, getting to the point where a couple extra eyes to pick out some weak points and knock out some fixes...
i think 571 is in the best shape ever right now!
-
That's saying a LOT, she's been in 3rd (?) place shape before ;D
Pathetic, can't remember if it was 3rd or 4th
-
3rd! i got 88$ and a trophy! behind miller, badulchis

-
God spede, racers! Drive it like you stole it!
-
Have fun and hope the neck brace works well
-
good luck Smike keep the radio tuning to a minimum you know how those 5' tall stone just jump out.
-
Blew a rear wheel off prerunning working on it. Easy but dusty course.
-
Blew it off?
-
Loose lug nuts.
-
571 rides pretty good on 3 wheels. That was a long walk back to get my tire.
-
how far did you keep going?
-
About 50 yards. Never even felt a change in the car. Honestly I thought a branch was wrapped in the front shaft.
-
The fan also has a 30 and 10 amp fuse jammed in.to it ha.
-
thought randomly occurred to me, so I checked...
autometer has at least a dozen full sweep voltage gauges.
they also have 60a ammeters, and one could be run with that small an alternator - but I'd be looking to upgrade the alt if it ever fails so I wouldn't go with that.
-
wow, the housing bolts and all 5 of the electrical connection bolts were all loose on the actual starter motor. the starter mounting bolts were actually tight. Tightened all and re shimmed starter. good to go.
cleaned and mounted 4 KMC beadlock wheels on the new KRTs

bet the lose connections didn't help low voltage do magic. glad it was an easy fix.
fluids didn't happen.
