Title: CJ3a
Post by: wnyjpgy on April 22, 2013, 11:09:00 AM
I know a couple of you guys like old jeeps. Here's one I've had sitting around for 3 years or so.

I can work on the number for anyone seriously interested.

It's a PROJECT......

It doesn't look horrible, but it's had alot of patch work.

Cargo area has a piece of plate, the foot box area has had some tin work.

Alot of the tub support are prettye decent, however the tub cross member in front of the rear wheels looks a little soft.

Jeep is complete, I figure a few of the parts are worth close to what I'm looking to get out of it  (Not the $650 number) and I'd scrap the rest.

well im interested...
its got the later motor in it, not the L-Head...
but I would be interested in it for parts...
looks like the tub might be in a little bit better shape in some spots than mine.. and although Im nowhere near ready to restore mine.. they are becoming harder to find.

It's on my trailer if you decide you want it. I would deliver it to Rochester for $550.

that is the general consensus… but it’s a bit more complicated..
you need to show chain of ownership… etc..
or else anybody can go with a BOS for anything and register it..

pending some pics of the tub, cowl, and windshield frame ill take it..

Here are some underneath pictures, all of the wheelwells are good, it's peeling underneath.

You can see both VIN tags are present.

You can See the PTO is all there.

Also, I looked online yesterday, and saw reproduction winshield frames for $600 on ebay. This one is in really good shape.

Let me know what you think.

You tell me. the sooner it's off my trailer, the sooner I can pick up the 12' drywall for my shop.

I'm swamped this weekend, but could make it happen this afternoon,  or tomorrow.

I wanted to stop by Mike's shop, when are you guys leaving for Virginia?

I was suppose to be working in Canada today but it fell through.

I could probably leave work at noon, and be in rochester this afternoon (3:00-4:00) if need be depending on the location of drop off.

I would just need to run home and grab the trailer.

Thoughts?

Is there decent room to get a trailer in and out?

If I rolled in on the 490, what is the easiest exit to get off of?

Going to go hit up my manager for a half day now.

Stand By.

I've dropped stuff from both my wedge and my lowboy at this location, you'll be able to manage a one car trailer no problem.

I've never come in on either, but x12 or x13 will serve you well.

Post by: rejeep on April 23, 2013, 10:55:27 AM
broad street exit coming east on 490 is prob the easiest way as long as your not over 12 feet...

Pleanty of room to move, aim, drop, swing, or drive big bore into.

if I'd left my truck at work it'd be easier to do that, it's hard to bike home on a call!
