Hey folks,
After wheeling this weekend it became blatantly clear that the brakes on my old CJ are terrible. I am looking for the master cylinder and brake booster from a later model YJ to swap into it.

you want 73-74 corvette MC, its 20$ at any white box store, 5$ core.
you will need to adapt from 3/16" hardline on the jeep to whatever the two sizes on the vet MC are, and you may need to shorten the push rod like on early years.

o and your real problem is mud filled 4 wheel drums become 20% brakes until they dry out haha
-
swap to disks in the front and you will notice night and day difference

I saw that when I was researching, but I also saw people using the YJ parts. I figured the YJ conversion may be easier to track down parts for. And what do you mean by a 'white box store'?

That costs quite a bit more money

white box just means unbranded autoparts...
not as expensive as you might think..

or you can always swap the front end for a later CJ

paul and i both did disk swaps.
we swapped from the Knuckles out from doner axles.
should try to get some 297 joints in there also, since those 267's will snap pretty easy.
