Title: rear axle for a grand cherokee

One of my guys at work needs a axle for his 2002 grand Cherokee.  3.73 gears w/ disc brakes.  He found a 3.55 and put in for the moment but needs to either change gears or axle.   Anyone got anything they want to sell.

3.73 are fairly rare when not paired with the awd. silly question but is he sure its not awd? you will smoke with viscous coupling in the transfer case with two different ratios.

lookup would be 99-04 only. v8s should all have the 3.73s

he does not have quadra trac he has 4high/4low and part-time.  straight 6. This is what he is telling me.

It a jeep thing and confusing to me.  Let's just have Chevy build them all and re-badge.

Me. Its under a complete 99 Grand. If you want it you can have it but you have to store the rest of the jeep after you come get it and pull it :)

I believe I have one.

Complete 99 grand Cherokee, 4.0 and select trac.

Was my dads beater he just passed, thought I would try to pedal it on CL but it's not worth much.

Engine runs too good to scrap, thought a I might part it and keep the engine on the shelf for my tj, unless someone needs a complete drivetrain.

Jeep is currently still on the road, but doesn't need to be any longer.

Let me know what the rear axle is worth to you, might push me into cutting it up.
