Looking for a stock drivehaft need dimensions to be 31.5 u-u, 28 w-w

(ujoint to ujoint center, weld to weld center)

The difference in length of the cases comes from internal or external slip yoke.

I assume you are moving from an internal to an external, which is about 1.5" longer.

unfortunately the only one I have is from an internal slip yoke.

You got it.  I ended up grabing the t-case and d-shft out of an xj which is even shorter, not knowing.  My daughter is running that one but it only has 1.5" of engagement, so I need to get the correct one in there. 

The junk yard has a zj with the 242 but is in a tougher to get spot so I will have to run out there this weekend and grab it if it is any good.  They like to bend them when they pick the cars up with the pay loaders...
