That's a hard hit.

My garage door is 93 tall 105 wide. The van looks too tall. I can chop the top off with a sawzall to make it fit..  Does it move under its own power?

Body is garbage aside from 4 good doors. Pretty sure Motor comes out the bottom

About 24.5' long now. Bumpers off maybe as short as 22'

If we laid it on its side we could slide it right in! Ballpark 9' tall give or take a couple inches.

The motor is toast or just timing cover broken?

Definitely driver side valve cover, a reservoir of some sort – probably power steering, and a couple of pulleys. I don't think much more than that

Arie,
Mikemike and I have been texting. Not going to fit into my shop in one piece and doesn't seem worth it to chop the top then take it there. Are you opposed to me dismantling it in your lot wherever it's dropped today? I'm game for that.

Prove that I am not a robot… Everything except for interior and the big parts is out. Exhaust, 75% of driveshaft, death and fuel tanks.

The frame is also cut off upfront, and engine is almost – if not completely – disconnected from the chassis. Just need to roll the van back on the trailer, unbolt leaf springs, shocks and brake lines. Then drop the rear remove cradle bolts and strut nuts and lift the front to slide the drivetrain out the nose.

The small pieces remaining are the four good doors, anything in the – like the head unit or cluster or ignition or shifter, and I did not remove the throttle by wire Excelerator yet

Good removed parts so far include: complete fuel tank
Complete DEF tank
Complete exhaust
Both mirrors
Coolant overflow tank
Headlight, broken mounting tabs
ABS pump
Brake master and booster
Interior battery

I think that's about it. I also pop the breaker on the rear exterior outlet of the building – the M Glo compressor seems to be toast.

I dictated this entire thing on my way home, and didn't proofread anything. I hope it's readable!

Everything but dash parts and seats stripped. 13hr into it.

Dropped the slider and crunched a corner, wind took it. It let loose when I wasn't expecting and then a gust improved the situation. Really pissed me off. Everything else went quite well though.

Off jackstands and ready to tie down.

Winch did WORK scooting the shell forward. Welds on the winch mount very proven. I was standing back-even with a snatch block in play. I should have videoed...

All the important interior goodies are in the airbag between the seat bases.

I wanted to get the glove box, but it's all involved with the passenger airbag... I did not get into the column, either.

It would be awesome if things were sorted out and ready to strap down and hit the scrap yard first thing Tuesday on the way to work...

There's scrap to the side of it and a mix of scrap garbage and good parts in the back.

Note condition of carrier bearings on the driveshafts. They all got fucked when the drivetrain moved back.

were in a low for both right now

sure makes me not want to clean up.

It didn't really register with me when I brought a little bit of stuff in with Gus when I had to get him weighed how low the steel price was.

I remember when I was scrapping things more regularly (when gas was $4 and diesel was near $5...) that it was more like $230/GT. Pretty crazy.

I got a little over $100 when I scrapped around 150lbs of scrap. However around 38lbs of it was from my truck's original copper radiator.
