so this was noticed when i got to my usual fuel stop. got 3 wheeled home. mike picked up most of the pieces on the side of the road, so really all im out is 2 bearings, and brake baking plate if i want.
this blowing tires and failing shit is getting old, im just too heavy to make this work. with a 5K truck and 2 K of race gear.
fix and continue? bah. put 1 or 2 10K axles under it
Insert harrison taking it for a low ball offer!

pass side rear
-
i had stopped 2twice this trip and checked tire and hub temps, trailer got a full hub check and lub service before virgina, and got lube and air check before this race.
-
brads Hours of 8-5 suck
-
True they do!
I vote single 10k in rear position to increase younger weight and not care about trailer attitude - with titanium blocks to start brush fires to get your attention in case of hub failure :)
Tapatalking in traffic

How much does it weigh empty? I do want, but trying to be smart with money!
Trade for a 7k open deck in great condition? :)
-
5500lbs would be a conservative weight of the trailer. it got heavier with water tanks and shelving since the last time i had good numbers on it. i seem to remember it was 5300 when i got it.
i just have 2000lbs of extra shit in it all the time.
should get bearings and brakes all around apparetly.
all i can think is i over tighetened the hub when service- been fine and everything since new to me is original besides tires. have 3 Gladiator E's 2 good year D's and 2-3 D spares i believe

Sell it and move on, hoe shit out, make room for something new, sell it all.........................
Thats how I live anyway. :)

sold a buggy and a tow rig this year already- i think thats a good start to thinning the fleet. kinda like the wedge but would like longer, black box works and is easy to tow with 500$ a year in tires / wheels / bearings lol. Kitchen hauler has already paid its rent, and is a nice portable box. the rest of its note is covered by one or two axles ill steel from it.
i guess throwing a 10k oil bath axle under it wouldnt solving any issues. a trailer like Matts could use two 10Ks
im in the best financial shape of my life right now, just being picky / smart i guess about next major purchase....
-
I would sell it how it is before you hack it up and try to stuff different axles under it. Buy a nice HD trailer that gives you room to grow into and be done with candy ass stuff
-
ill never buy another trailer that isnt 17.5, 19.5 or 22.5;s dual or tripple 10Ks
-
Smike, you have a PM.
-
no issues to AOAA and back this time. shower was really nice. seem to have a truck power issue so i just hotwired it to the winch power.
still wish it was a 40' and then id put 10K's under it

Couldn't tell from my phone. But she is big.
Check tjis one out... all you need are larger axles.

Maybe not.
8.5K in car and gear? If the trailer and built ins weigh 9.5k (over estimate IMO)
Ours weighed 8900 empty.
