4.5 hrs with dinner, test drive, and cleanup.
not a bad kit, some shady directions and shit pictures but i managed.
Advance spring compressor worked mint.
Fing thing has a back up camera in the rear view mirror that turns on when you put it in reverse.
6 speed stick, fun little truck you could fit a 450 lb 7' guy in. crazy room.
So much clap trap underneath these new vehicles though....

I can't drive a stick in these because my knees hit the dash and I have to turn it to the side, which makes 1st gear interesting to fight for space with. Haven't driven an auto though. I've always liked the FJs. Funky looks and 3 windshield wipers are always fun.
-
i had to reach forward to the wheel and had a foot from my head to roof it seemed.
1st gear is fine, but revers is like way more over and up
-
Head room I was fine with it and could actually fit my hand between my head and the roof. Just first gear and my knee didn't get along well. Maybe they changed it a bit since I test drove one when they first came out. I should go take another one for a spin. Maybe I'll see an SAS cruiser in my future. :o
-
I LOVE the three wipers. I'd drive around with the wipers on
-
i think they are fugly on the outside, but this thing is really nice inside.
had to take a bunch of the skid plates / track bar / outer TRE's off the get the struts to the bench, but not really too bad.
the front IFS dropp kit was 2 bolts and 2 spacers- was easy. spacers on the skid, done.
-
Seem stout? That doesn't seem like much in the way of fasteners.
-
they were 1/2"x 7" long bolts on the front of the cradle. you take out the bolts just on the front, the IFS drops a little on its own, held by bushings in the rear, stuff spacers in with new bolts. lowers the IFS like 3/4" to help CV angles out. seemed fine.

clap trap?
-
