Title: compression fitting
Post by: mr.mindless on August 27, 2013, 07:39:23 PM
I almost have garbage picked my way to a fuel pressure gauge but not quite. I'd like one sooner than later as I think I'm seeing a clogged filter a bit ahead of schedule.

I need to get from a 12mm banjo bolt to 1/8" FNPT.

The stock bolt is too small to drill and tap. I have a leftover double banjo from the dumpbus along with a banjo fitting going to 5/16" OD steel tube, so a 5/16 compression fitting to NPT would let me adapt. I found a discontinued Dorman # 43012, and also current 490-035 or 43244 but not in stock.

I could make what I need in a few minutes out of a block of aluminum with a mill I don't have.

A few online shops have the bolt I need for around $15 shipped but sadly nothing Prime eligible in stock on Amazon.

Anyone have helpful stuff around? A 20m plan of pull, drill, tap, install has turned into an hour of searching for the parts I need :(

12x1.5

I almost bought a 12x1.25 from Summit.
I also almost bought the right part from amazon but it would ship in 1-2 months.

I hadn't checked Pegasus or Speedway yet though.

It can't be a simple disc. The not OD is roughly equal to the banjo fitting thickness. It needs to step up.
