i just ripped it up the hill and around the development.  was last titled in Dec2015 and is good to go.

thanks to Mike for transport and Tom for finding the add!

no signature on bill of sale  ???

guy sent me an email, thanking me for the transaction and that it has renewed his outlook on CL haha.  said he would be happy to send another bill of sale if needed.

he said his son will miss the truck as he was unfortunately not allowed to put it on the road because of his grades.

He gave the name Stu to the truck.

battery good still

oddly, the driver side of this machine has a brand new radius arm, coil spring, brake hose, and shock.

the passenger side looks like a 20yr old NY truck, with 95% of the radius arm rotten and broken apart.   i guess someone said fuck it after doing one side lol

everything else looks solid on the lift!   gona get the parts to fix, get a new sticker and put her on the road!  bro whip!

Sounds like you got the last radius arm available from Dorman. WTF? Nuway Farmington said my order was cancelled because no longer available. Rock auto no longer lists the part either.

Only looked at Nuway, rock auto and then autozone online.
Don't need one to get me rolling. but wanted one in the trailer for spare.
Dorman part was like 58.00
Autozone lists for 98.99
Ford will be 150.00 I'm sure
Summit lists them as well.

I mean I can try and order these if they are that scarce.
Title: Re: bro 574
Post by: JEEPWERX on April 19, 2016, 10:08:27 PM
Sounds like they have become scarce. Guys wadding up their trucks are gonna need these sooner or later.
They don't hold up to corrosion like the Axle Beams do, so junkyards around here aren't full of good ones.

Do you have to run the stock I beam or can you run an aftermarket like this one http://simotorsportsinc.com/images/ibeamkit.jpg
Title: Re: bro 574

Stock stock stock.
The issue with most aftermarket suspension parts for the ranger IMO is they they typically do something we don't want... Lift or Lower the vehicle.
What does this kit do?
If there is a stock replacement out there we may need it at some point.

i couldnt find anything aftermarket with same stock ride hight

changing the geometry with lift or lowering parts does not meet the rules

both of Bills are swiss cheese so he will be searching- i gave him a heads up they are hard to find.  that ebay place claims they have some

we thought putting smaller tires on rear would help, but bed still sitting on smaller tires.

i was actually looking at the car battery pile to see if i could stuff two batteries in between the frame and spring plate.

my blocking selection is limited and mostly used and cared for

the other suggestion was to pick up the chain saw and make bed cutouts for the tires.  too many deck screws though and would require more work to unload.

the 2.3 and clutch took it fine.
