Looks liek I can get propress fittings at Grainer, should be no trouble to get them at the counter with my UR ID as long as they actually stock them... I can't find anything about tool rental though. Nothing on the Depot or Lowes sites, nothing at United. I just missed calling Debbie Supply, unless I missed by a mile. I forget if they're open until noon or five on saturday...
For what I need to do (fix titan's damage - which will be 3 straight joints, and move one other run of heat while I'm at it to actually install the cabinets downstairs near the entry) it would certainly be a huge timesaver - especially since getting the lines DRY is going to be a huge pain in the ass if even possible. There's still water in the ruptured line upstairs, that's been over a month sitting semi open.
I should probably get new shutoffs and drain valves for anything I can't move down at the boiler while I'm in the system too. The main shutoff of city water to the heat system works, so that's the main thing, but there was at least one zone shutoff valve that is froze, and I think the system drain is as well. yay project multiplication!
