It's the very short list...

Right now my goal is get the motor fired..
Want this puppy to make some noise... Saw the wipers work and I'm all anxious now.

Once I hear that 30 seconds of fun a more detailed, complete, longer list will appear.
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

Short list turning into longer list as I'm buttoning things up.

Fabricated a mounting plate for the Howell CPU using a 87-90 YJ CPU mounting bracket.
welded some larger bolts in place of the studs, not going anywhere.

thoughts on running wires through frame /  frame holes...?

I would like to tuck everything up and out of harms way..  is there a good reason why the factory didn't do it this way?

Chafing is inevitable.
That and mud and dirt and salt sitting inside the frame?
If you can manage to get it in some wrap or small conduit? Then I'd do it.
Normal plastic wire loom isn't thick enough IMO.

ok.. ill be clearer..
its a CJ "C" channel frame
Frame "holes" will be protected with grommets
yes.. I was thinking some thicker wire protection would be needed.

In that case you should be good. I haven't had chafing issues when I've used loom. For the use this will see and milage I'd expect, corrugated loom will probably outlast many other things.

Grommets would be preferred.
Keep forgetting this won't be wheeled or raced.

Have been working on buttoning up some of the smaller systems, but jumped the gun last night and hung a fender to get the dryer mounted..

Starting to look like a Jeep

Stupid stumbling block update…. more like the PITA list:

. AMC V8 PCV valve issue...
basically what it boils down to is STD V164 and GV7 grommet..
had a hard time hunting down the correct stuff after lots of bad attempts
. PS pump and Pressure line issue
Later pump with earlier line = SAE vs. Metric
after crushing a couple of lines I actually took a look and the later Grand Wagoner pump used an O ring, pressure line is inverted flare..  found an adapter fitting.  Ohh and simple answer of switching to an earlier pump… no go, different pulley setup
. wiring... it’s a PITA!  I have problems with leaving things good enough and every time I think I’m ready to fire I find a reason not to..  cooler weather might make sitting in the garage more tolerable.  Already chasing some issues.
. D30 cover… even with zero miles and a lube locker gasket I’m leaking oil… go figure
. passenger fender is on.. so now I need a fender blanket or something, just my luck the kids will bang something into it.
