I’ve been ginger with this.... ::)

it’s not a well strapped down Jeep.... yet ....

I wanted to loop one strap through the door openings, but I couldn’t see where to cinch it to the back...

Ill prob bolt to trailer deck when its ready to bring home..

Since Brad’s had my trailer and did all the work it’s actually a pleasure to pull around..
New springs and shackles did a world of good.. but the lack of tongue weight and existence of major pot holes is making it bounce all over.
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

yes, James is a good guy..
he is doing all the finish work on the tub..

tinted bed liner and tub polish..
Custom truck jut can never get their ducks in a row when i need stuff done/finished in a timely manner and nobody else would do a  tinted bed liner like I wanted..

10 levels of abrasive, polish, and ceramic coating...

Ceramic coating? Like jet-hot or similar? So that's not polished aluminum we're looking at, then. Interesting.

It's polished aluminum..   was convinced to do this ceramic pro.. sounded interesting.

Ah, one of those. Unbeatable for polished aluminum if it is as good as advertised!

Body is home on the horses...

Time to get to work.. pleased with the results.. exterior is polished to mirror shine..
bed liner application went well, needs some touch up after all holes are drilled and car is actually driving under it own power..
I saved the ceramic coating for afterwards when the whole truck is assembled.. I wanted to get the same finish results on the steel pieces as well.

Short list for now:
Firewall insulation
Trans tunnel insulation
dynamat application?
mount tub!

Been some time since the last real update..
Work has been slow with the weather being nice and business picking up.
Media card with corrupted sectors lost me some pics, but here are some from along the way..

Got the Fuel and Brake system plumbed to the firewall, waiting for tub to complete install.
I’m not a big fan of rubber lines, so I ran NiCop lines along the frame.

Ebrake cables installed from Drum to equalizer

New Driveshafts installed front and rear courtesy of Tom Woods…
Might be a little issue with the front shaft and the passenger side pipe..  its ok enough to get her running and ill figure out a custom exhaust if need be once its road worthy.

Installed the dash to get a sense of where I will need to place new holes in Dash and Firewall for various components..

Decided to put speakers in the dash along with the head unit..
Mounted AC/Heat unit to get a better understand of placement and weight..
I will deff need to add a rear support if I don’t want it flopping around on uneven terrain.
Ordered a new switch pod from the 12 Volt guy for the ARBs – hole wont get cut before paint…  I will prob regret that later..

I lost the majority of the pictures of the firewall and transmission tunnel heat shielding..
I used heat shield products HP Sticky Shield..  Rated at 1100 deg direct heat and is very element resistant..
Taping up the loose seams with their “weld” tape took the majority of the time and $$$  amazing how small 36” is when your taping up irregularly cut seams…

A decent shot of the firewall with the heat shield before I mounted the body to the frame for the last time.

Had to throw the grill and windshield frame on the truck to get a little tease of where I was going with this project…
I finally got some positive feedback from my wife…  funny how some people can’t envision an end result…
