Step #1 - Hook chain to crate and to back of garage.
Step #2 - Accelerate out of garage.

Done.  ;D

Ended up having a bit of cabin fever last night from being in a small little plane all day long..

no engine hoist, and only a vertical chain fall...
I lifted this sucker out of the jeep and onto a floor dolly..
I’m sure I’ll be sorry for it tonight.

all strapped up and ready for install..

Finished with the clutch install.. sent the flywheel housing out to be bead blasted.. ill clear coat that tonight assuming I get it back from the machine shop in time..

I decided to go with stock cast iron manifolds..
Ordered a new set from Crown and I have to say the quality of the casting and clean up is far better than the Dorman ones we sell and others I have seen..
little red tag fell out of the plastic bag and low and behold there was a little bit of homeland pride in there...
they are on their way right now to get Jet Hot Coated...
love the way clean cast metal looks...

I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...

light years away from tops...

I’ve actually contacted these guys about a custom top..

http://www.rallytops.com/

fiberglass is so much easier than steel... and it won’t corrode the body..

Stabbed the motor.. drivetrain connected and in place..

ran into some issues with the mount for the T18/300 combo...
since its a Scout case and it mounts directly to the factory 1" adapter plate like a D20 would...

generic ploy trans mount wont mount to the plate...  Smike.. do you remember what you did for a T18 swap in a Intermediate CJ?
mocked it up with some nuts as spacers and dont you know the motor is dead on balls...

my engine moved up 2" from factory location to keep the case and driveshafts in the same place.

went with a low pro mechanical fan and no spacer.
