packing is a skill 80% of humans do not have.

Packing sucks. I'm good at the loading tetris, and don't hate that part though.

A really big TV on top of a couch is what stole the space. I'm not sure what I'd have done differently, but I think the cushion space around the tv is way overkill (it's a 65" flat screen, flat and alone in the Magnum is probably the only other option than the trailer - and it's not needed at my place at all, so it's tough).

Blah blah.

Dad can hardly walk right now. Knee is bothering the shit out of him. Getting older seems to suck pretty hard. Hope I don't need parts replaced before 70. He already has one hip. Bet he needs the other (other knee was killing him before he had the hip done, from it taking over for motion control the hip had lost).

It's at least 4 levels past that sort of self medication. You ever see someone bite back crying out in pain when they go to sit down? Makes ME want to self medicate but I don't think it would do him any good this side of blackout.

my mom is about at that level most of the time, she has heart issues that also suck for most types of pain medications

I’m 32 and get quarterly epidurals (had one yesterday and yes I was involved in the current meningitis scare) and already need a knee replaced in the future.....

doesn’t bode well for our generation...
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

We keep living longer and being more active... At least in our parents generation they can replace joints and have em last 20-30 years. I hope this shit improves for us, and I can't
Imagine what they'll be able to do when "our" kids are wearing out 70 years from now.

Not true at all. Hence the trailer purchase. Most of that shit is staying right where it is till they have a place. You know how small my house is, I couldn't double the amount of shit in there if I had to.

I'll have major issues with just the tools I'm keeping.

I'll MAKE room. Not like my garage is useful for cars anyway :)

More shit to throw out to keep the worthy stuff.

I really need a shop. Maybe next time.
