had to refill ac again sunday ::)
starting last night oil pressure light on anytime under 1400rpm. replaced the sensor a couple years ago, but that one just came on and stayed on, coming on at low rpm is a little scary :-\ valve train sounds fine tho...

Hahahahahahah
-
for real.
Going back to shop tomorrow for pan gasket that was replaced twice ::)
-
This thing is more of a pile of shit that dump bus Sr
-
time for an oil pump!
-
I hope not
-
Is that what it would do?
-
yup
-
sweet
-
Trade it in for a TDI Jetta wagon
-
put some lucas & 20W 50 and trade this payment in
-
'twas the pressure sensor.
Here is the new craftsman confined spaces adjustable wrench :D
(http://img.tapatalk.com/aefc2386-efc3-5d95.jpg)
-
I will be purchasing some 1/2" deep walls asap
-
buy impact sockets...
-
btw that wrench handle ate up almost a whole cut off wheel, schrong!
-
pro tip
dont buy any cutoff wheels other than dewalt
dont waste any money on high dollar impact sockets- the ones at HF are awesome.
-
I really see no need to buy tools anywhere else anymore. My craftsman shit breaks more than HF
-
well a lot of the stuff is junk, but id say with most of the non complex tools they are pretty good.
Gloves, hammers, impact sockets, pry bars, unitbits all good.
Air tools are hit and miss, i have killed a couple air ratchets and other tools, but its really hard to match the price even with 2-3 replaements over life. <and i only oil things never>
Drill bits, any abrasives, any cut off, or blades of any sort are all junk.
-
Pry bars and screwdrivers are pretty soft just like the drill bits. Lacking in good materials and good heat treating.
-
They got like 2 grades of pry bars. The black and yellow ones are HD
-
And you just can't beat the step bit!
-
brand new oil pan seal on this baby!
-
*sieve
-
and.......going back on monday lol
going to get mopar gasket and clips and bolts this time
-
Get this thing running and get rid of this pile of shit
-
are you paying for this or all under warranty?
-
under warranty and also why i didn't want to do it myself lol
-
they way the pan goes on is really gay, it has these little clips with notches in them and this little tiny aluminum bolt that
[attachment deleted by admin]
-
big puddle this morning :banghead:
-
Looks like a job for M4
-
trade this pile in.....
-
my mom just leased a new compass, her lease on her 08 liberty was up. 8900$ was the buy out for an 08 with 13K miles on it.... if it had cruse and wasnt red i might actually buy it out ha
-
you could prob make money on that flipping right before winter...
-
its a shame.
mom driven all its lift, a few door dings. original tires and brakes from dealer lot, and it looks new inside and out. gets 22mpg and has the 3.7 whatever motor- it moves. power everything, just no cruse or heated seats.
-
Ha! this 3.7 can barley get itself up a hill, and get 16 mpg.
I really dont understand why this guy cant get the pan to seal...
-
filled the AC again
-
Jewish lightning.
-
wtf?
-
Jewish lightning.
That is looking like the only way out!!
-
I don’t know wtf that comment means but I can only assume it has some derogatory connotation to Jews being cheap, money loving, controlling the world or whatever..
A little sensitive, but whatever… I’ve dealt with it my whole life.. I guess that’s what happens when a good Jewish boy from NY picks up some redneck tendencies and enjoys them more than a round of golf... (oops.. I did it there myself huh?)
We all make comments about people that aren’t ourselves.. Jews, niggers, spics, wops, fags, crackers, mc’s, hillbillies, and other people..
I’m guilty myself of repeating the coined phrase about working on the land rover… “It was designed to be worked on by niggers and bush mechanicsâ€
It just surprises me that when something is said in a general forum, where you know somebody of that group will read it it means either one of two things…
1. You are truly that stupid and use it as vernacular because you think it’s part of speech
2. Or you really believe the meaning behind it…
-
hey the Cherokee is an atheist transporting machine ;D
-
or it could be that I find it a hilarious way to refer to arson, with no personal or collective malice intended.
option 3. I expect them to take it as the joke it was intended as.
I don't know how, but at midnight last night I managed to forget the hypersensitivity of the issue, and just thought it was funny.
-
option 4 i still dont get it?
option 5 keep this drama to other forums. M4 is here for tech and profit to me and sponsors.
-
It is just a comment dont get your panties all bundled
-
x2
now back to my pos, going back friday for a new trans pan! lol
-
Well its not the pan. Guess there is a sensor of some sort on the topish side of the trans. Have to use a mirror to see it, dodge told him to check that when he tried to order the 4th or 5th pan gasket lol.
My driveway looks like a mass murder has taken place :-\
-
hahahahaha parts changer fail!!
-
I paid $80 for a pan gasket and flush. That poor bastard lol
-
Interesting tid bit off the net
Another problem, at least through 2007, was the transmission filler tube o-ring leaking. The “transmission cup plug adapter bushing.†The old ones had two white o-rings that were available separately; they all leaked and it looks like a pan gasket leak, there is a TSB from 2005 or 2006 about it. They superceded the O-rings to the whole bushing so you get a new plug bushing and O-rings, new black ones, already installed on it. The new design won’t leak.
-
back to the shop! bets on puddle in the driveway tomorrow morning??
-
it was the “transmission cup plug adapter bushing†btw. this trans should be about like new inside lol.
battery shit the bed this weekend, its was a chrysler, assuming its original. needs some, got 40k out of these cheapos I bought 2 years ago for $600 installed...not too shabby
-
finally.
-
that poor guy must of lost his ass on that trans
-
So i threw the yota battery in last week when it died and the radio wouldn't shut off with key. I put the new batt in today and it works with key again. Someone want to explain that one to me???
-
But you're the sparky!! I've so got nothing.
-
Battery terminals, they do weird things
-
Put a new rear hub on this beast a couple weeks ago for wicked axle leakage.
and now.....the fuckin pinion seal is leaking :banghead: Looks like its some kind or 8.25 variant. Anyone know how to change one? Do I need a puller or anything? or should I just take it to the shop lol.
-
crush sleeve, otherwise same as any other.
easy way: mark the nut and pinion. remove, swap seal, reinstall and tighten until the marks line up. bam: same bearing preload.
-
Sweet, thats what I was looking for
I work with 3rd members, $20 remove, replace lol
-
Arie make some parts master 75/140, this is getting expensive lol
-
we got it....
-
parts master is just valvoline with a different label and a few less additives...
-
Never seen it in at carter or cdag. I should really fix it!
-
ill double check tomorrow... stocking may be different than available...
-
No big deal, I just shed a tear when I dump lucas in to then dump on the ground haha
-
update: new battery, new pinion seals, new pass rear hub twice (my own dumb ass fault), new fluid front, rear, and tcase
newest problem lol, the AC blows ice cold driver side, outside air on passenger & rear. I googled but all the comes up is blend door issues, but I only have single climate control so I dont think it really applies. I just did its bi-weekly charge on monday so its not low yet haha. from the service manual it looks like it the same freaking ducts, specially the floor, i dont get it, guess i need to take it apart. I see some non-sense about the expansion valve, whats that do?
Found this issue last night as there was apparently a concert a Cmac and we sat in traffic for 1.5 hours to go from the ymca to wegmans, maybe 2 miles, i was thrilled.
-
fucking jeeps are the worst thing to look up, so much garbage
-
why do you still have this thing?
-
cause new things cost money
-
it really hasn't been the worst vehicle really, mostly maintenance items, its pushing 160k
-
sounds like you need to trade up to a sweet 98 5.9er
-
What's the price du jour on that niner, anyway?
-
Brand new set of lug nuts on this hawg! Got so sick of messing with the shitty tin covering that falls off then you need to pound a 17mm on and then work on removing it for another hour lol.
Both side ebrakes rebuilt
I think the leak in the rear hub is not the hub seal and actually the press fit cap in the end of the hub. Pounded it in an 1/8" we'll see if that holds.
I see no way to get the o2 sensor out without dropping the exhaust. Going to take a second look today. I got one more day till the inspections due right? Lol
-
Gangster.
-
She was getting a little warm this morning. Coolant does not look present ::). Overflow looks full but its just stained.
-
I did t a coolant flush in December 2010. Where did it go?
-
3.5 years is kind of a while?
resi could be cracked with a super slow leak. I hope.
-
The resi is stained up to the full mark so I always thought it was full. I will have to monitor it. Needs a flush tonight, looks pretty grimy around the filler neck.
Arie do you carry Zerex? or some type of HOAT?
-
You do lol
-
seems all is well with an extra 1.5 gallons added :o
-
:o
-
Last night: flushed this beast out 3 times, filled her back up, was cooling the best I've ever seen, no leaks.
This morning: Huge puddle underneath, stream dripping from pump :banghead:
-
At least I know where the coolant went I guess...
-
Found the leak!
That seems better'n'a mystery to me, having done both.
Would have been nice for it to piss last night instead but I'd take what I can get.
Tapatalking in traffic
-
before I filled it up with coolant last night I said to myself, you should just replace the pump and tstat while your at it...ahh fuck it its working great
-
Put a belt on it now while your at it lol
-
not a bad idea
-
I always thought the pump was shot when it started leaking?
-
And idler/tensioner pulleys.
-
on the list.
-
when the bearings go the seal doesn't seal anymore.
be sure you get the weep hole on the bottom when installing the new one if it will clock both ways.
-
Gonna be another fun night meh
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/05/8yje2umu.jpg)
-
Fuck that auto tensioner!
-
I've never met one I didn't like 36x better than a manual tensioner. You need the right tool!

Looks like what I have. Is awesome.

-
I was not aware of this new fandangled technology before tonight
-
ls auto tensioners are the shit
-
I need to pick one of those puppies up
-
Ordered a sweet tool to replace the AC Schreader valve without loosing charge!
-
Rough start this morning, 3 minute crank, foot to the floor diesel for 1 min or so :o. Time for a tune up I guess.
-
gassers are NOT supposed to behave that way since 1988 or so, eh
-
she's gettin old
-
Runs better :0

-
Oh my.
Tapatalking in traffic
-
this thing runs like a new car!
-
ya think...
-
haha. You dont have to floor it to move and the trans shifts correctly.
-
and it starts like a post 90s vehicle haha
-
how many miles? how did they come out?
Kim has two 3.7s, both around 90k. not sure if they've ever had plugs but they both start/run/go well. Probably fine :)
-
155k. Came out pretty easy, hardest part was getting the air box off the top.
-
the spark plug..
still making a difference since 1860
