Just debating the strength of a stock CJ frame.. I know there are a few people here that have and do run them..
Anything you have experienced over time?

C channel old school way better than 2 halfs of junk thin metal.
both have issues up by the motor mount boxing, and the driver side rear spring mounts by then.
my 75 needed very little repair and was a really strong setup

so the 72-75 CJ5/6 were C channel frames..
it would just require boxing in certain areas?

the 72-75 just have OE boxing up by the motor mounts- sometimes they need to be replaced, but the actual rails should still be very solid.

Agreed 2 piece CJ 7 frames are a time bomb. Too many places for rust to start and fester. And they are paper thin to start.
C CHANNEL reinforced where necessary allows drainage and removal of mud and salt etc.
Unless u go with a mandrel bent 1/4" box frame like TDK... $$$. But worth every penny!
