found them at harbor freight!  they have a 4x6 on sale for 19$ or the 4x8 for 25$

figured the upcoming TJ cage i am doing it would be nice to not burn holes in things when tacking tube

it actually looks pretty HD.  its rated for sparks and spatter, but not blobs of red hot slag

I have 2 from HF.
One is yellow fiberglass and is horrible to work with. The fiberglass gets in and on everything and really irritates my eyes.
I never use it.
The other is more of a woven blanket. Not sure of the material but it's greenish
Worked fine for spatter like you said.
But red hot slag will burn through.

I dont put the fiberglass blanket on any fabric seats.

My 2cents

My low buck low sliver solution was a canvas tarp from HF. It has some holes from concentrated sparkage and slag but has prevented glass and paint damage and grass fires in its service career. as well as keeping my tent bottom dry.
