:P
This looks nice, decent price too
http://rochester.craigslist.org/grd/2887982961.html
-
I think mine needs too go for sale for some additional funding
-
I’m also looking to upgrade or downgrade..
weight is my bid issue.. the lighter the trailer the better.. all I’m hauling is my YJ.. but towing with the SRT makes weight an issue...
-
Get a sweet aluminum model
-
nice trailer.
i wont run aluminum wheels again.
looks a little much weight for the titan
-
The Titan can tow 10k son!
-
Heard a story about that supposed tow rating this weekend... I'm sure it was down to poor weight distribution but when an Excursion and a Titan have roughly the same tow rating, and trading the trailer from the Ex that'll comfortably do 80 with it makes the Titan white-knuckle at 55, something doesn't add up.
-
I can tow 15k at 80 and not even know there's a trailer on :P
Seriously I've had no issues other than the first time I towed and left it in OD and the trans got hot.
-
I'd chalk that story up to user error
-
I dunno. It was bad enough the guy sold the truck right away. Doesn't mean it wasn't user error anyway
-
I'm not skeered :)
-
FWIW, I just picked a trailer up from these guys.
http://www.appalachiantrailers.com/car-hauler-trailers.php
They were cheap enough it didn't make sense to me to look at used ones... They custom built me one with no dovetail for the same price and I picked it up in PA.
-
Yeah I've came to that realization also... Trucks payed off in a few more months :))
-
looks decent
http://rochester.craigslist.org/bfs/2922218736.html
-
you love non convential wheels and rims dont you.
-
everybody loves mobile home axles!
-
amusing: he even admits he's only a couple hundo below New price.
-
Unconventional? Ive got 30 of those. Looks like Ligit trailer axles according to nameplate. Not a bad price at all for a 10k trailer.
-
Pass, get a good one with the right wheels.
A 10k trailer is heavier than a 7k trailer, you dont need the extra weight either.
-
i also have 4 new 225 trailer tires off a brand new camper, D rated, 15" wheel.
-
Buy this one without the title for $1000, register it in Maine as homemade no title or registration needed.
http://rochester.craigslist.org/pts/2913528607.html
-
Been considering that one myself. There has to be a VIN on that thing. Just too hinky for me, I think...
-
looks nice but I'd check deck size.
-
I'm want an equipment trailer, I like the ramps and they seem to be more heavy duty all the way around. and with the price diff between a 7k and 10k is like $300, its going to be hard to not step up to the 5k axles for that little cost. I'm not skeered of 500 more pounds.
-
id buy a 10k also, but i wouldnt if i was Erok, ha.
too many times we need to drag duallys or just plan heavy shat around.
-
I dont plan on ever towing 10k around, but I like the peace of mind
-
Been considering that one myself. There has to be a VIN on that thing. Just too hinky for me, I think...
yeah that one scared me off also, its def not homemade
-
Thats what I was looking for back around 04 when i had a truck.... i would have just slapped my utility trailer plate on it and call it good.
-
Seems legit to me. 8)
-
Eric.. here is a bit of tech for your trailer.. http://www.wnyoffroad.org/forum/viewtopic.php?sid=630fe83d1c0151ea591f2eea3da73bd9&p=102238#102238
-
looks good, i have 4 tires for it....
http://www.rc4x4.org/rcforum/index.php/topic,16777.0.html
-
Thats the same as mine, only 2 foot longer. Nice.
-
Wishing i had money thats a good deal.
-
Put NEW tires on it. ;D
-
the D rated tires i have are new take offs from a 2011 brand new camper, they are Drated bias 225s....
-
i might buy it just to have. i miss having a flat trailer with some ass to drag shit on.
-
There you go, how many do you have? I need a couple spares....
-
i have 4 new unmounted tires, i also have a C rated 205 that is mounted on a 5 lug wheel that has never seen pavement, but it is older
-
i might buy it just to have. i miss having a flat trailer with some ass to drag shit on.
I was just thinking the same - but if I get one "just to have" it's going to be a deckover.
if someone makes a deal on this I'm sure I could grab it along with a Barracuda in a few weeks.
-
Oooooooooo! When for real can you pick this thing mike?
-
Weekend after the race or weekend after big dogs? No rush on the Cuda job...
Hoping for one of those weekends to be NJ and the other to be CT (for Arie's CJ3 if it ever gets done and a nearby TDI if it's still available and I have any leftover money). If later that's fine too. Only possible complication is (the shot tires? And) Alex might have a northbound car from NJ too. Not sure if I could manage to put a trailer on my trailer, with a car at least half on the trailer... One of those things I'd rather play with at home before committing to, you know? Kinda like three Mazda2s ;D
-
Thats a lot of ifs and maybes :o If you can commit to before big dogs I'll get it
-
I could tow mine down and just drop it off at the scrap yard ;D
-
Just go get it, its not that far. ;D
-
Just go get it, its not that far. ;D
this.
-
HA! its taken me 2 months to install 2 seats, a fuel cell, and a water pump
-
Yup, life is full of maybes.
/Maybe/ Alex would weigh in here, and settle one of them and then one question would be answered and I could commit...
-
Spoke to her about it. She gonna call her sister in the next few days how soon do you need an answer.
-
he hasnt responded to my offer on the trailer
-
you should get it, put new tires on it, and sell it to me ;D ;D ;D
-
Spoke to her about it. She gonna call her sister in the next few days how soon do you need an answer.
I'm not in a rush but it sounds like another potential customer of mine might be, that Eric guy is pushy!
-
well its not much help after big hawgs :P and its kind of hard to make a deal when you'll pick it up sometime in the next month or so, maybe.
-
ill take you truck and go get it.
-
make it worth my trip and I'll get it the 21st!
-
whats worth it?
-
Gawd dammit its so tempting! The trailer, getting it, tires, registration, getting my truck finished up, big dogs fees, getting to big dogs, I just cant swing it all... :(
-
IF you need to borrow a trailer, mine is still available. Nobody has asked to use it yet.
-
I don't even remember who is first and second in line for my trailer spots. I haven't decided if the Dakota is going, I haven't even looked at it and don't know when I'll have time or motivation to do so
-
Might have too if mike isn't going
-
Why can't I find that trailer local!
-
because now you need one!
thats how it works.
-
want to rent to own mine? It is not officially up for sale yet but I am not using it anytime soon. Maybe a little big for what you are looking for. I want to make sure the enclosed is all set to go before I sell the open one.
We can talk at the meeting if you want.
-
Eroc?
http://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/3031203021.html
-
you can buy that brand spankin new for $2699
-
But it comes with 6 sets of D-rings!? ::)
...haven't priced new, sorry...
-
With the d rings maybe it's worth it :)
-
i would not pay 1000$ for that pile
look at the spare tire caved in, it has BRAND new tires fora reason, the same reason the last trailer erok bought had brand new tires
the axles are bent and its a WHOPPED POS
Dont ever buy a used trailer with new tires. #1 rule.
-
Once out of a hundred the alignment is still good but then the rims fail anyway :)
-
Hey mine did not have new tires I bent that axle all by myself! Lol
Went to rotate the extreme camber tire tonight and noticed that the only thing holding the u bolt to the plate is rust. Nuts are completely disintegrated. That could of been bad.
-
Red from Rightcoast is selling his Toyota and trailer for $3500, you and someone should work a deal, Trailer has got to be worth $2k at least.
-
link?
-
I saw it on Facebook, no link.
-
5SPD
Dual Cases 2.28 gears in both
Front Axle - 5.29s, lock rite, 30 spline longs and inner hub gears

-
i saw that, sounds like a crazy deal for anyone to jump into wheeling. it claims 13-14mpg towing with a v6 tacoma. super light stripped down trailer, not sure its worth 2k, but i think he put tires on it last season
-
if the trailer is LIGHT i would be interested if sombody wants to deal...
-
Wow thats cheap. Not even posted in right coast it must be insider info lol.
-
It's a newer version of what you have Arie.
-
Facebook last night Eric. Idk how serious he is. Silly cheap w trailer.
-
Sounds serious. He posted details. Said "money talks"
-
well the lighter I can get and flip my trailer id be winning..

Crap. Just had a quote done for a P&J trailer. Minimal option upgrades jumped my semi-do-able base price of ~$2800 to $3750. He only talked me into the axle upgrades and a different hitch.
(He pointed out that with the 2 -3500# axles, after you take the trailer weight off, you're only at about 4500# carrying capacity. I'd like a touch more)
-
$3000 09 18 foot PJ 10k Buggyhauler
http://www.rc4x4.org/rcforum/index.php?topic=18194.msg115947;topicseen#new

Best deal I have seen on a good trailer
http://www.rc4x4.org/rcforum/index.php?topic=18194.0
-
no doubt.
speaking of trailers, Tim told me 10.5k for his tandem axle goose as is. the black wrapped one.
-
this looks good for a bumper pull
http://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/3438163991.html
-
That's a nice trailer...
If I had more truck I would deff get something like that...
-
OK, need final input on this sucker. P&J 32' gooseneck buggyhauler (drive over fenders), no dovetail, 5' slide in ramps, 2-7000#axles. Sound good or should I upgrade anything?
(any benefit of going to douglas fir or rough oak over the pine? should I do the triple axle?)
-
I'm against triple axle.
douglas or especially oak will last you longer than pine decking.
I haven't seen a larger than single car buggyhauler, if it's as nice as Wayne's 18' tagalong, that'll be a SWEET trailer.
-
http://www.pjtrailers.com/detail.cfm?ID=B8#3
Will probably link you to the triple, but close enough.
-
That will be a sweet trailer!
-
looks just like the lowboys that all the hotshotters I know from ltlhotshot pull. Theirs are mostly forty footers, some PJ but mostly some other company out of OK I can't recall right now.
-
Just had a thought... What does a fully dressed JK weigh? :o
I might have to be a bit careful on placement of these two jeeps for Big Dogs. Trailer is quite heavy already.
-
its a goose. meh.
-
specs for 2013 rubi - Base Curb Weight - Automatic Trans 4100 lbs.
-
30% on goose ball, fine
now nick was doing some crazy shat with two on a bumper pull
-
Yeah you will have no problem. Whats your trailer weigh? 6500?
-
Title claims 7040
-
I bet my JK weighs close to 5000. If the weather is nice I may shed the doors before we leave, that will shave some weight(since I have four of them) Oh and thanks for the trailer spot. Whats the average fuel cost down and back? Just so I can budget accordingly
-
My first real trip with my truck and first time down to big dogs...anyone have rough previous numbers?
-
a billionty! ;D
-
I dont know how that new motor is but probably figure 10 mpg them get the distance and you can figure out the cost
-
Making me do math...sheesh!

Someone should look at this 14k aluminum goose. 32' overall, 28' deck. If I was goose shopping, this would be it.
http://rochester.craigslist.org/fod/3958997632.html
-
My 10k is still for sale, I will take $2200 for it, with a spare tire. Anyone that has pulled it knows how heavy duty it is.
