Toms Rubicon oil pan

(1/5) > >>

dubt:
While wheeling at RC, I found out the hard way the oil pan is not a skid plate. Now I need to replace the pan. Do I need to replace the rear main seal at this time also or just the pan and gasket. While I'm on the subject ,SMike do you still have the template for a full skid you did for Tony's rubicon?

Wingman:
Replace the seal if it is leaking.  Otherwise, just the oil pan gasket.

Do you really need a full skid?  With a manual, just the oil pan should be sufficient.  The Nth Degree oil pan skid I had was awesome.  What about just plating a stock oil pan with a little sump armor?

smile armored up mine after i did the same think on rock creek 2-3 years ago..

leave the seal if you weren't leaking before the strike

dubt:
So maybe something like this for the pan only. https://cdn.northridge4x4.com/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/T/E/TER4667100_1.jpg

Callelle:
That's the Nth degree pan that I have on my XJ. Aside from the fact that its the only skid I could find that would work with long arms, I like how it's built and how it mounts, and doesn't cause any interference with the drain plug. If you want,  I can send you some pictures of mine.
