upper CO mount thats happy still hasnt appeared.  all other work sorted and just about done with loose bolts.

good day at rausch.  front shocks feel great- still room for a lot of tuning but definitely get things moving around more and under control.

race prep list:

wash
check front end out, replace a left spindle bearing if needed
replace / free one of the trans fans thats locked up
fluids
fuel
eval spare tire situation.

race prep completed tonight thus far:

car washed
front axle wheel bearings and king pins tightened up
snapped right king pin adjuster, need to source a fine thread 3/4" bolt to fix
seized trans cooler fan replaced
found main radiator fan to be loose and flopping, close to failure.  replaced.
lube u joints
front bipass upper bolts changed for new


check coolant level
fuel
air pressures
source missing radio thumb screw

2.5 is plenty long.
staying with the allen set screw style is much easier for adjustment, what I have to do with 2 same size hexes above each other is kinda annoying.

side note, changes to my radiator shroud last go around with bolted in tabs and weld nuts, made changing a radiator fan a 20 minute job instead of a 5 hour job.

email this morning says granger has my 3/4" set screws ready for pickup.  grab at lunch, install at line Mt.  i welded a nut onto what snapped off, but left it so its mobile.

king pin adjuster swapped no issues at line mt friday night.  2.5" is probably .5" longer than original, no big deal. 


shock notes-  much more compliant on little chop for a much better ride over all.  still harsh on mid to high range / high speed impacts.  Coil over gets warmer than bipass.

14 bolt tear down and spindle replacement
full heims check / replace
front end RCV issues
start looking at a 14 bolt 40 spline build

looking like 14bolt spindle replacement not as easy as i had imagined.  looks like guys are slugging on at  the tube.  that sounds silly.
