A 3 phase VFD will work with a single phase input as it converts AC-DC-AC, but you have to derate it appropriately. Usually 1 or 2 standard sizes larger. There's a calculation if you ever want it. They can't convert voltage though FYI.

i just look at the amps out rating..
so last week i wanted to get my vice on so i just used my 4' bar level and some straight edges to the bed groves.
today i finally took a dial indicator in the head to the vice jaws.... didn't even move a hair over a 6" jaw with an indicator in .0001". No adjustments made!
checked tram on head both ways and is closer than i could ever get it anyway. ready to make chips.
