Matt, is my 6th tire race ready? I need to dismount and look at my spare. Small sidewall pinch, but potentially split the rubber at the bead. Wheel is narfed real good there but the bead looks whole - but it leaks almost as fast as I can fill it.
I somehow missed buying 3/4" bolts last time I restocked, so I need to pick up more hardware. I have 9/16, 5/8, and 7/8. Fail... Need to stock toplocks too, and restock a few sizes already. I used a LOT of 1/4" in the trans swap floor project.
When I picked up my lowboy I was going to grab shock oil and shims out of the Ford. I guess they're the the shop though. I don't know that I'll have/make time to get into the shocks at all. At most, I think I'll try to swap a complete remote res and top off the oil. Anyone know the spec for IFP setting pre-charge? I can probably fake that pretty well when swapping the whole unit but need to know for a full rebuild if getting into the remote.
My rear springs are sitting like SHIT and wearing the hell out of the bottom caps. Seems all the Blue Coils did this. I think it needs some PAC love - but probably wrapped around some Fox 2.5s. That sounds expensive.
prerace punch list:
swap remote resi and bleed shock
Get one, hopefully 2 good spare tires
fix brakes. probably new master cyl unless there's a leak I haven't noticed.
install heim joints on front uppers
Nicities:
front diff seals, check wheel bearings
trans kickdown cable
Heims on rear uppers
Weld up small truss crack on rear at diff
I think that's it. Smike has the right lifestyle for racing....
