im gona not be impatient and not order one from amazon to be here Wednesday.   If i can walk into the electrical /starter place at on Emerson st and get a 5-20$ part to fix my starter since its in great shape other than broke gear, ill try that.  if not i bet they stock one.  wont make a second trip.

thought i was going to be slick and use some parts from the 48 chevy  chassis, but it just wasnt going to work right and risk more flywheel damage.

gathered my propane bits, i have enough to run it short term on a grill tank.  but need some fittings to go back to an actual liquid fork tank (which i sold my last one to wolfi not too long ago ha)

still dont quite understand clutch.  95% of travel doesnt do anything, and then its almost like its a hydralic valve not a mechanical clutch.  I havent pulled the floor tin to inspect whats going in in the transmission area.

plan to pull and eval fluids.  so far coolant looked green and ok, engine oil was present.  trans looks like milky atf, cant find where to check either hydro systems.  i think steering is separate from lift / tilt.

needs a battery hold down and one of the side pannels is missing.

needs a light bar and probably a bigger fuel tank.

i remember the clutch being wonky...
we used it to pack up the store and I hit the back of the trailer a few times..
much easier with a skid of rotors

I left that group. Couldn’t stand the raw unfiltered humanity. Final straw was some busybody minding neighbor’s visitors coming and going all night. I suggested minding her own business.

this thing has sat under my barn really since i moved here 3 years ago.

threw a fresh battery and had to change a leaking fuel shut off, fired right up and drove it up stairs.  not really sure why i was scared to put it up stairs on the wood floor, but i guess its fine lol

listed for sale or ill keep it up here now.  could use a carb rebuild, and maybe investigate the original fuel tank / fuel pump situation.

the price you mentioned you'd list it for on marketplace is way too cheap IMO if it's running good.

Should list at 2.5-3k.    Or maybe its just my area. My area is growing warehouses like crazy due to the savannah port and functional forklifts are being snatched up left and right.

i listed it for 2500 after cora mentioned that too.

lots of broken piles listed for 1800 around here, i guess i was off on its value.  i was thinking more like its worth 800 in scrap and the rest is bonus.

but it is a leak free fully functional machine i supose.
