they do rust through easy..
I had a pin hole in my original 60K mile YJ (1997) and it leaked like the Exxon Valdese

that would be awful new to rot then. what, 4 years?

gaskets or mains would be more likely. wash it up and confirm where it's really leaking from.

drain plug is tight
i cleaned everything and took it around the block yesterday and it had a few drips when i stopped
this morning when i went outside there was (and still is) a big puddle of oil & no wet spots above the pan skid...

didn't get to look today
i'll look tomorrow am and see whats going on..

sure not drain plug. but is it just the gasket or is it really the pan? I'd suspect gasket....

you need a 1 pc. rubber gasket, change the RMS while your in there...
and while the pan is off.... might as well take a good hard look at it..

that was part of my plan
how much are the gaskets?

if you help Mike load a bike at some point today you can have the pan....
I have a feeling its a 2 man job, easier if one of those men knows how to opperate a motorcycle..

Agreed on mains unless they're surely leaking.
