I have some very solid thoughts, hopefully my memory is close on what things look like under the floor and making things bolt in/out is as easy as I'm thinking. It's been a long time since I've been in there.
I'd probably have Jim look over a used tranny before I put it in service. Unless it really can become a <2hr job to swap.
Console, dash, shifters, tcase interlocks all need some adjustment.
I'm thinking I'll double shear the seat mounts and then make them pin mount so they come out in 5 min each incl belts once tins are off. Make the center console bolt in, 2 through the lower dash bar from the back side and one or two in back on tabs. Cable shifter has to come off one end or the other for trans removal anyway. Move remaining wiring to one side or the other instead of down the middle. Make tcase shifters fit through the floor panel for easy removal? another 2 minutes for the front seat cross bar. dzues fasteners for side tins and maybe the floor panels too?
Would make it MUCH easier to do future rear firewall changes for rad size/ mount/ airflow, too. 190Ëš all weekend, unless that 'stat has a BIG bleed hole, it still has a 160 in it. Rad is tip-top full. I know it's gonna get hot again. So I want to measure for those full race options, and think about oil cooling too. The planned air velocities for those nascar rads could be an issue but I think it's worth closer investigation. I'm tired of fighting heat.
