Towing joes jeep with the dodge 3500 back up to Rochester. Have a 5.25" drop ball mount with 6k rating. Uhaul says the weight rating is okay to tow one of their dual axle car trailers. Any of the towing wizards on here have any input? Should I get a different drop? Higher ball rating? The trailer only accepts 2" max ball.

I'm not a towing wizard by any means but...
Uhaul trailers are small and light. Don't think you'll see 6k. Only other issue may be trailer leveling with your drop-hitch.
I'd say you'll be fine.

Got a 8k ball and 12k 4" drop ball mount at TSC for $84 just in case.

U haul inspects before hook up.

I used a 6k ball when I brought the mj from nj with a uhaul trailer they just check that the lights work not that your properly setup

Uhaul is a joke. Hopefully the 4" drop is about right. I think a 6" drop would be more likely correct. ~21" to the top of the ball is a common height but idk if their car haulers are close to that or not.
