my 88 XJ needs a head gasket.
any recommendation on shop to have the head decked while its off? Its gotten pretty hot a couple times from the thermostat sticking closed.

I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red..

I have always had good luck with Engine Assembly. They have done my cummins, my vw 1.6td, and my 5.4 ford motor.

couldn't you just swap out the engine for 1/2 the cost and labor of that?

thanks for the feedback.
renix vs HO have lots of different senors. I cant imagine its worth the time to swap over a harness and computer.

4.0 has to be one of the easier in-vehicle head gasket jobs with exception of the head being kind of heavy and manifold bolts. Definitely not motor swap worthy IMO
