Reading back through July 2014 traffic, Jim's build lost reverse on me. Grinding noise at first, then just nothing.

Dropping the Summit-bought TCI and the Jim-built (with Summit valve body needing no kickdown) with JJ, he's going to bring to a racing/pulling trans shop in Batavia for me on Monday.

Going to see Arie tomorrow and grab a standard rebuilt 350 that I may tune the motor with or maybe not. Found a broken bearing cage today on my 205, so that's got to wait to go back in. All yokes were a bit loose and it was basically out of oil. No other issues found. I removed the interlocks while it was open so I can put it in any ranges I like now, and shifting should be a lot easier now.

Hopefully get some wiring and maybe air done tomorrow before I have to go to easter dinner. power washing and tcase reseal took forever toady. I really thought I had a bearing kit not just a seal kit. Kicking myself about that.

Denny's out of stock on the slip yoke, so is everyone else. ordered Neapco parts from Northern Drivetrain. Spares should remain compatible, still 16 spline 1.375"

Will have a little truing to do on the front carrier bearing along with rear shaft work when that stuff comes in.

maybe I'm a tard, but it actually takes a lot of effort to get a harness laid in around an engine and everything plugged back in and neat.

doesn't help that I'm feeling sick.

Arie's trans appears to have 2 bolts and the alignment pins in common, so that's not useful.
Staying home either sick or project tomorrow. was hoping to get fluids & lube done on Joe but if i'm feeling sick I'll do better with wiring that I didn't get done yesterday. fuck, I work slow.
I really hope I'm feeling good enough to do Joe. Best weather day by far in the remaining 10 day forecast. Hope things warm up for race weekend.

transmissions ~1 week turnaround :-X

driveshaft stuff should be here this week.

I'm sick in bed. first time in like 3-4 years if I recall right. I think I'm about to take some dayquil and try to do some things. I really should do oil change and coolant hose on Joe, not sure I'm up for more than car wiring. but I repeat myself.

What was it, 2 years ago that I killed myself getting ready for this race and missed it?

Some parts were missing in that TH350, there was a cap plug missing that causes low line pressure and it ate itself. rear planetary was broken, reverse piston upgraded to HD unit. Full rebuild and new convertor. Just under a grand.

They'll look at the TCI trans (the Summit bought unit) next week. JJ grabbing tomorrow so I can get it from him Friday evening.

Couple parts deliveries missed today due to road closure from downed tree last night. Tcase c clip and I think driveshaft.

Trying to decide between knocking out some wiring and a last long sleep. Still have a bit of plague to kick. Humbug.

what converter did you get?  can you send it back and get a 2200 or 2400  instead of a stock 1500-1800 one?

will make tuning that cam a lot easier....  took awhile and compromise to get mine close but its pretty good now.  need more hot laps not after dark.  we only got one complaint visit

Decent progress today. Hopefully I can get productive sooner tomorrow than I did today.

Still haven’t found a battery location I’m happy with.

I think I’m short on atf. Only had 1.5g.

Tcase doesn’t want to align. Seems that I’ll have to shim the front output side way down and might have to shorten the lower bushings in the middle to suck up the input. Tcase is low and passenger of trans. I seem to recall prying the trans to passenger an eighth already to align the mount. Need another quarter.

Maybe partially the result of replacing the worn driver side engine mount bushing? That should have helped not hurt.

Didn’t check alignment when I took it apart.

I forgot to mention, old motor was running wrong size trans to block bolts. They’re metric, no 5/16. I need to change those all out, I didn’t have any m10s long enough.

M10x1.5 40mm if I remember right.

exhaust all buttoned up, O2s installed, went to plug them in and I have the wrong gender.

first ones I got were wrong year and obviously wrong plug.

2000 1500/5.3 vs 2500/6.0 have the same plug, but male and female ends are swapped between harness and o2. why the fuck would they ever do that? weird enough that they don't continue to use the same plug for a 4 wire heated o2, but same plug, opposite gender setup year to year. And of course I've antiseized and installed them this time.
