Who ever said Whispering Pines was boring wasn't watching sMike perform.  Awesome!  Belts, cage, and vents did their job well.

Artec arms, bolt tie in kits, and king pin spring eliminators installed.

shit is HD and took a little bit of muscle to get it on but all good.

both king pin bushings were exploded and bits.

it seemed to be ok with exploded KP bushings?

like you said, bronze would be nice, but having a little give somewhere in the system is probably good. since the nylon ones  are a $3 part, might just be a replace every 2 races kinda thing.

Looks good.

So it has a bronze bushing in there?

Breaking things to get give where things should be tight doesn't seem ideal to me. I like the idea of bronze and no springs for tight steering all the time. It's not like that 1/8" or less of give when the plastic shatters is going to help prevent catastrophic failure.

king pin spring eliminators installed.

still have nylon, but no springs.

I didnt really know if it was fine because of the 10 degrees toe out i still had.

There is nothing else to break in my front axle other than the spindle, and that means RCV shaft damage most likely- bah.

I bet spindle bolts would break before the spindle, but maybe not with that deep shoulder?

Probably bend the spindle first and not know it until the bearings explode...

id bet spindle tube failure before 6 hardened studs let go out of solid knuckles.

wheel spacers and shallow backspace don't help the situation.

need to hit fastenal for 4 bolts- the existing fine thread 1/2" high steer bolts are two long in the Key way positions, need more thread, and shorter.
