been toying around with some frame reinforcement ideas...
in talking with Bill@SVE and a few measurements at lunch came up with this......

just to box right above the spring hanger and extend a little bit outwards..
kind of a tweak on the original HD renegade frame design.. the squared off box created stress points that would cause cracks..
the fish plate design of the above plate should disperse the load over a broader area..

Still need to work on something possibly for the front and rear shackle hangers, but those traditionally aren’t a problem area.

Smike.. if I can draw it you can make it out of metal right?  were only talking 1/8" plate

already revised....
radius cut would be better....
no issue for Hole Saw and band Saw tag team!!!

set it into the C a bit for good penetration with the weld....

I think we have a winner...

I think the frame is 1/8"
I might be wrong...  can measure
I want to keep around the same thickness for the Galv process..

as long as I can get all my ducks in a row is this something you can start on possibly next week...

Mike... can I use your enclosed to move it and store it @ M4...
Ill bring it back to Carter for perm storage when smike is done...

Let me get the mj done, and I can drop it and grab the frame in my trailer.   I'm pushing my outside storage with 9 trucks and 2 trailers.

so my trailer isn't needed?

it's probably on moving duty soon, my old boss is headed to Cleveland at the end of next week.
