No start issue.
First instance was a few weeks ago. Normal start then stalled after running >1 second. Cranked and wouldn't start. Let sit 10 seconds and fired up.
Second same as first.
Tonight same issue. But won't go. All times it's done this before it throws a CEL for MAF and p1514 which Internet says is "throttle performance issue". Now just throwing p1514. I cleaned throttle body, checked TPS plugs. Cleaned MAF and checked plug. MAF appears to be new and aftermarket.
Internet says one of:
Broken wires
Bad plug connection
Faulty PCM

big boo!

Check fuel pump too
-
I can hear the fuel pump running.
smells very strong of fuel after cranking. no visible leaks. seems like computer is giving no spark.
possibly crank position sensor. sounds like they like to break off in the block. great.

Even if you can hear the pump, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is providing the required fuel. But likely not the issue with other symptoms you mentioned.

Hmmmmm
Hahaha someone has to bring it up

I'm not sure about 8.1 but at least on 4.3 it'll run with the maf unplugged (defaults to speed density). I had to on my old ZR-2 when it's maf got coated in mud after a mudding.
If it have sparks, it may be injecting too much fuel/too rich and won't start.
It have camshaft position sensor? If so, you can try to unplug crank shaft position sensor and try to start it. It'll take longer cranking though. GM did a nice job and made it to run without some sensors for in case some of them going bad although it can get finicky if some of them still somewhat working and PCM try to use its data and cause problems.
