i told them what i would use it for and they recommended a psi vs. a flow, im assuming a welder uses a flow, could i use the regulator from my welder to get by or wont that work

your welder regulator is like a 2 psi regulator



id get one that does at least 800psi. 

mine is 6000psi in / 3000psi out

this isnt terrible, probably be fine and keep you from blowing 600psi goodyear hose when you use mine improperly
