That's a pretty sweet white XJ in the background!!

Sad to see it go, solid rig. But I know you love wheeling too much to be out of a rig for too long... I hope!!!

I found a TJ in ... Nashville? ... that was built on tons for $15K. IIRC i6, d60s, 39s (beadlocks), long arm, Atlas 4spd blah blah blah. Plated locally but not sure if it legal other places...

I found it looking for Atlas transfer cases yesterday.

The 4:1 rubi cases can be had for $1k which seems cheaper than the atlas run. for our use, the end goal is the ratio, not the strength.
4:1 kits can also be found for 231s and D300s, which would be a direct swap or easy swap, respectively.

Do you search pirate for parts? that is my go to classifieds.

Are you actively looking for a built rig? or just stumbled across it and was price comparing vs Marks?

I know I'm a little high but I don't want to give it away either.

If there is no urgency, might as well sit on it and get as close to your price as you can get.

If it does sell, no 2014 wheeling season for you?

I'll find something.  Or I'll find an open seat.

I like the idea of the atlas 4spd as an EVENTUAL swap. swap the 30/35 for something like 44/9in with 4.10, put 35 or 37 rubber on, then go with the Atlas 4 to be nice to the 4banger depending on terain. 4spd is probably overkill but I don't think MLC's little engine would like big dogs or KOH with 4:1. I've been finding them in the $2K range. That's where I'm starting to lean.

Not looking for a built rig. Not that I wouldn't mind, but I'm actually enjoying learning things with MLC. I actually "cleaned up" rust for the first time. Did a diff. Tie rod and TRE all by myself. Those are big deals for me.

I'm only getting "ideas" for MLC. When I see folks here posting links to things I tend to google for info. Then search CL for comparison pricing used. The TJ turned up when I was looking for atlas 4 speed prices on CL. That was yesterday.

I have 1:1, 5:1, 4.10, 38's on my 4banger and I'd like lower in the really big stuff

My thought was the 10:1 ultra low with the 5:1 low, 2:1 mid. I've been finding the 12,6,3 recently which might actually be better if I go 37+. Right now I can only see forward to 35s....

Yeah. The wife is starting to call Mark names. Apparently he's a bad influence.
