Problem solved. Likely for sale open market in the spring. Available for use or sale at my cost ‘till then.
Diagnosed the no start on this unit as a fuel issue. Finally primed and ran after a minute or more on starting fluid. Diaphragm in fuel pump is shot, it was just pouring out.

Ordered replacements for all the kohlers around the shop since they’re probably all the same 30-50 years old.

Will probably change the oil for the first time in 2 owners and send it. Didn’t need it at all last year. Speak now if anyone has need…

the house across the street from me on Norman sold [again, for the 3rd time since built 10 years ago] a year ago. remember, the nice house?

they were asking 385 and got 452k. good god.

Zillow thinks my old norman house is now at 155k (sold it for 117) and my new house is 370 (bough for 260)

my house was listed at 179, i had to pay 191 to get it in 2019.  zillow says 258 now.

it was taxed at 121 for like 3 decades before me.  they raised it ti 186 after i bought it

There was an article a week or two ago about towns doing assessments and they raised a house in Penfield by $131k just after the ppl bought it, the town assessor started receiving threatening messages after that

i dont think there is much recourse if the new assessment is inline with the recent sale price-  thats kinda a true assesment-what someone would actually pay....

Exactly. That’s *supposed* to be the point of an assessment.
Theoretically all assessments should be skyrocketing over the last 2yr.

If only tax rates were reasonable around here….

That's more of the point, if your already paying $10-$15k in property taxes and the town increases by $1200 in one year it's pretty absurd. Of course ppl are happy to have their home values increase but the taxes is what's infuriating folks

is it though?

i mean that 12-15K is now worth like 8-10K so is only a 1200 increase a gift though lol
