Just did a little research on the new FOA shocks. They have changed from aluminum body to steel body, that was most of the problem with the old ones.

Dan Guyer seems to love them, and the people running the new ones are not bitching as much.

I dont think I will try them, but someone trying to save money might give them a shot. Seems risky.....
I found a site for a 2" c/o $150, they are hard to pass up for such a price, next in line price wise is a sway for $329

2.0 Fox or 2.5 Foa. Do not try a 2.0 Foa it's only a few bucks more for 2.5.

Am I reading the rules correctly?
"Differentials are open"
I assume open means no restrictions.
The next line of the rules reads "ring and pinion ratios are open"

So we can swap in any rear axle.
Need some disc brakes.
But they"must remain stock"

Differentials are open: you can leave it open, do a limited slip, spool it, weld it, lunchbox it, selectable it, Detroit it... And run any gears in it.

Why would the rules say ring and pinion ratios are open?
