New project for the winter
-
Looks great, How do you get away with getting 2-seat vehicles all the time. ;D
-
What's the plan?
-
Kelly said she would not want to ride in a rat rod/ old truck. So I am building it for Luke and I to cruise in. Have not decided if I am going to chop it, channel it, slam it or just leave it stock stance.
Either way it will have:
new style front suspension and disc brakes
9" or corp 14 bolt rear
350SBC with carb and HEI
turbo 350
possible a cage but keep it as light as possible
Still want room in bed for Dirt Bike or lumber
Most likely leave all the old paint and character just as is
I want to be able to drive it safely
Love the old stuff so cool and eff. designed
-
looks fun
ill stop over with a box of stuff for you some night
-
That's a solid plan.
Need seats or anything out of my Integra.
-
Is it done yet? ;D
-
very cool! 8)
-
Very Cool
-
Is it done yet? ;D
Seriously, c'mon.
:)
Very cool
-
Yes, Ryan I need the seats that would be great. I was gonna run VW seats (jetta or golf) because they are slim/light but supportive. Acura seats would be the same way. When can I pull them or are you coming down to bend pipe this week? I want a big pile of parts before it get to cold to screw around outside.
Very cool thanks.
-
I found a guy to do it for me. Going there tomorrow.
-
I will try to get them un bolted tomorrow. Should be pretty easy.
-
They are tan by the way. They are in good shape. You should measure up for some nice Profender gas shocks on it too.
-
Looks awesome
-
Very cool project.
-
Lack of overdrive is the only problem I see with your plan.
I bet you could find a LS with a 4L60E for a great price on CL. ;D
-
Don't need OD with 3.23s or 3.55s and a decent tire.
-
Ryan, I may stop by tonight with the kids if cool to grab seats. Mom needs me to hammer drill a 1" hole for new gas line for her fire place insert. Thanks
-
I a going out to unbolt them now. They are SWEET seats. :P
-
Thanks
Just scored two orginal scout bumpers back for the project. Why did I give all those international parts away with the scout why. Life is a circle note to me: build more storage capacity
-
A stance like this would be sweet

Harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness. Energy. Block. Bad. It's like a carousel. You put the quarter in, you get on the horse, it goes up and down, and around. Circular, circle. Feel it. Go with the flow.
-
Eric WTF is that
-
Ryan said you have a center bolt valve cover TBI motor?
All my awesome stuff im mad at that i was gona give you wont fit that motor :( other than the distributor
-
No it is not a center boltmotor, Ryan??
-
o, ok.
no slants in the middle intake bolts either?
than all my shat will fit.
-
Weekend update:
Orginal frame scraped
New frame from 1990 2500 sub
Bobbed frt middle and back
-
Thought you said you had a motor out of a 90 suburban. That would be a center bolt valve cover motor. No?
-
Pics of sub and bare frame

Sorry Ryan, Yes it was but not the orginal motor for the sub. Gif pulled it from a work van couple years ago and stuck it in.
-
man that 03 express van frame and chassis i scrapped would have been a sweet ticket for a project like this, nice disk brakes, VA truck, clean. good tank and sending, all good brake lines 10 bolts to pop its top.
-
mock-up
